MIND OF AN ORDINARY CITIZEN (12" single)
After recording was completed, BLADE once again approached RAW BASS to see if they would be interested in releasing the single. With not much interest shown from the label, BLADE went about trying to raise the funds to release this on his own label, 691 INFLUENTIAL.
After almost a year of nothing but knock backs, he finally raised enough collateral to go it alone, only this time he was not too interested in waiting around for any labels to make promises they weren't about to keep.
Once again with production from 2000 ADEE & MASTERMIX, this also went on to be recognised as a classic. There is also a great story on how BLADE managed to convince the police to lend him a police car for the front cover of the release, so look out for that in interviews or on the website in the near future.
